Get Ready Party People!
This Wednesday night, November 22nd, King Me will be giving thanks and
sharing the wealth at Scotty's Bar and Grill in Wichita, KS. King Me and
Scotty's have a tradition for the night before Thanksgiving of throwing one
of the biggest parties of the year. Nobody works on Thursday. And, even if
they did, they wouldn't be able to after this annual Pre-Thanksgiving Bash.
This year's bash will be made even bigger with our special guest Factor 8.
Factor 8 is fast becoming one of the hottest bands in The Midwest and we are
honored to have them share the stage with us this coming Wednesday night.
But what, you may ask, could possibly make this night bigger and better?
Only your charity. This Wednesday night's show we'll be collecting canned
goods for the Kansas Food Bank. So, bring a canned good and get a dollar off
the cover charge. But we know you'll bring more than one can just because
you're generous like that.
Next Wednesday will also be your first chance to buy your tickets for the big
New Year's Eve party with King Me and Scotty's. These tickets will be going
fast, so bring a little extra $ to get yours before they're gone.
Wear Something Sexy! Drink Lots of Budweiser!
We'll see you at the show.

It's Election Time Party People!
As a band, King Me is typically not very political. However, with so much
at stake in this election we feel like it's a good time to encourage all of
you who are of voting age to make certain your voice is heard.
Keep in mind that the candidates in the presidential election have very
different view points and that the new president will likely nominate two
Supreme Court justices.
So, regardless of your decision, make it an informed one and vote your
conscience.
If your issues are the environment, education, a woman's right to choose,
gun control and the economy you might consider Al Gore. Here's some places
for more information about the Democratic nominee: http://www.algore2000.com/, http://www.plannedparenthood.org/, and http://www.sierraclub.org/
If your issues are reducing gun control, pro-life, capitol punishment,
reducing the size of the government and eliminating affirmative action,
you're probably a George W. supporter. For more information on the nominee
from the Grand Old Party here's some linkage: http://www.georgewbush.com/, and http://www.nrahq.org/
If the legalization of marijuana, drastic reduction in government and open
immigration are your issues, Harry Browne and the Libertarian Party is your
pick. Here's the place to go: http://www.lp.org/
If you stay awake at night worried about consumer rights, anti-trust
legislation and reducing the corporate influence in politics you'd probably
be interested in Ralph Nader and the Green Party. Take a look: http://www.nader.org/
If you're as far right as can be, then Pat Buchanan and the Reform Party
could be for you. Here's more: http://www.buchananreform.org/
If you want to have a laugh at the truth about both candidates, check out
these links: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/bush/bush.shtml, http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/bushdui1.html, http://www.gwbush.com/, and http://www.albore.com/
One of the dividing issues in this campaign and a very important issue to me
personally is the prospect of drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife
Refuge. I would encourage all of you to learn more about this issue before
heading to the polls. Begging would be too obvious. Check out http://www.northern.org/refuge/html/refuge.htm and http://arcticcircle.uconn.edu/ANWR/

Hey Party People!
It's an exciting week for King Me and we're ready to take you all along.
To get things started - the bus trip to St. Louis is going to happen. So,
those of you who haven't confirmed your seat reservations need to do so ASAP.
For those of you who are interested. SEATS ARE STILL AVAILABLE. But don't
hesitate. Ask off for work on Friday or plan on calling in sick. Just plan
on being there. The bus leaves from Wherehouse Entertainment WEST in Wichita
at noon. The bus starts loading at 11:30. So, bring your ID showing that
you're over 21, your toothbrush, your deodorant, some sexy clothes, your
budweiser money and $50 for your bus pass. Your $50 contribution gets you
to St. Louis and back on a luxury bus, admission to the show and much, much
more. We've got a great group of people enlisted to go so far and we need
some more to round out the trip. For more information or to reserve your
seat e-mail or call us at 316/687-4062. This is the road trip of
the year and should not be missed.
This Wednesday, September 6th, come see King Me return to Kansas City to play
the legendary Hurricane in Westport. We'll be sharing the bill with KC
favorites The Sound and the Fury. The show starts at 9:30. So, plan on
getting there early and letting King Me know you're glad to see us back in
KC.
Thursday, September 7th, catch King Me at Cartoons in Springfield, MO.
Cartoons is pulling out all the stops for this show. It's ladies night.
There are drink specials and more. The show starts at 9:30 and goes on until
they kick us out.
Friday, September 8th, it's Band to Band Combat at Boomer's in St. Louis, MO. We need all the support we can get for this big show. It'll be King Me and
a bus load of die-hards against two popular St. Louis bands. This will be a
fun show, a fun trip and a spectacular view of the Arch. It's King Me in the
birthplace of Budweiser. That's got to be a good omen.
Saturday, September 9th, - CHANGE OF PLANS - King Me will not be performing
at the Slow Duck as scheduled. We will instead be the bill at Club Liquids in Tulas with local hero Dave. This should be a very cool show and we are
extremely excited to be back at Liquids. So, get out early and bring your
dancing shoes.
Wear something sexy. Drink lots of budweiser.
We'll see you on the bus.
8-29-2000
Hey Party People!
First, we really want to thank you all for your continued support. We had
great crowds at The Pub, Scotty's, The Back to School Birthday Bash in Ark.
City, and the Summer Blowout. Thanks also to the staff at KACY (formerly
KLPQ) for the great show and to the guys in Trim for all their hard work on
the Blowout. It was unreal.
Second, this weekend, September 1st & 2nd, come see King Me at Scotty's Bar in Wichita. Scotty's is home of the Psycho Slammer. Scotty's is the live
music mecca in Wichita. And, Scotty's always promises a great time with a
great staff and cold Budweiser. We did not have these dates on our postcard
for this month so, please help us spread the word about these shows.
Third, the bus trip to St. Louis is filling, but not full. We'll need a full
bus to make this happen. So, to all the people who have expressed interest,
please e-mail King Me and confirm the number of seats you want to reserve.
And, for those of you who have not yet taken the plunge, allow me to refresh
you on what a great time and great value this trip is going to be.
For only $50 you can travel with 40 of the coolest people in Wichita to the
King Me show in St. Louis. You will be travelling on a luxurious bus with
air conditioning a VCR and a lavatory. You will be provided with
transportation, admission to the show, some Budweiser, some snacks,
entertainment and some pretty good surprises. This has some great potential
we just need more volunteers.
The bus will leave Wichita at noon on September 8th and head back to Wichita
after the show. The show in STL is going to be a battle of the bands with
the winner decided by audience response. The fact that we're competing
against a couple of local favorites really puts us at a disadvantage and we
need your help. E-mail King Me and enlist to be a part of this magical
mystery tour.

We Are Grieving, Party People!
Because today, August 16th, is the anniversary of the death of
Elvis Presley we in King Me just couldn't bring ourselves to perform
this weekend. While we can't all make the trek to Graceland to
pay our respects, we hope that you find your own special way to
honor The King. Buy someone a Cadillac.
We'll be back next week with a flurry of shows to demonstrate that
though Elvis may be dead, rock lives on.
Thursday, August 24th, it's King Me at America's Pub on the Patio.
The Pub has 75 cent You Call It's and houses the sexiest staff in

America's Pub" Be that as it may, the patio will be jumpin' this
Thursday night.

going on about 4:30.
That night, King Me will be a part of the biggest party of the
summer. It's a classic field party with bands, kegs, fire, camping
and all the decadence that goes along with it. This show is 18 to
enter, 21 to drink. Plus, it's only $10 to get in and your beer is
free. This enormous party will include live music from Seeded,
Factor 8, Trim and King Me. The gates open at 7:00 and the
bands start at dusk. The evening concludes with an acoustic jam
by the bonfire.

Time For a Pit Stop Party People!
King Me is taking this week of to get our tires rotated, our spark
plugs gapped, our oil changed and the cooler refilled. Not the
coolant - the cooler. We do have a lot going on though and now is
as good a time as any to get you filled in.
First, thanks to all the people who have been helping us out so
much lately. I won't bore all of you with the details. But, we've
been fortunate enough to gain some wonderful friends along the
way. And, lucky for us, they're good lifters, drivers and display
builders, (all of the above if you're Terry Erickson). We had eight
shows over nine days in three different cities last week and all the
additional help made a world of difference. Thank You.
Second, we're very grateful to have been chosen to open up for

It's a Marathon King Me Week and Weekend!
The week begins this Wednesday, May 17th, at Acapulco Joe's in
Wichita for the Old Town Pub Crawl. I realize the Pub Crawl gives
you the opportunity to pay one low price and see a bunch of bands,
however, we fully expect you kids to swing into Acapulco Joe's and
ride the evening out with King Me. The show starts at 7:00 and
could go all night.
Then, this Thursday, Friday & Saturday the 18th - 20th, King Me
returns to the patio at America's Pub in Wichita. Let's face it,
there are some givens for the patio at the Pub - cheap drinks, sexy
people & pandemonium. We're very excited to be back at the Pub
and can't wait to see you there.
Drink Lots of Budweiser. Wear Something Sexy.
And for those of you who saw the condition of King Me
at Scotty's on Sunday - wear plenty of sunblock.

Hit the Road Party People!
It's time for another big King Me road trip.

home of the post Foo-Fighters/Red Hot Chili Pepper's concert and
a bar tender that does bizarre tricks with Reddi Whip.

Get Ready Party People!
Come out this Thursday night, March 30th, as King Me heads to
Wichita's Thursday night live music Mecca - The Edge in Old
Town. This Thursday night will debut my freshly lasered eyes, the
new King Me shirts and maybe another surprise or two. There's
only one way to avoid hearing about it all second hand. Be there
Thursday night at the Edge.
Also, take a look at some great new pics of the band including some nice shots of the New Year's Eve party
and the Wedding of the Millennium on the Eyecandy and Crickets pages. It's a great place to stir up
some memories of a wild night for those who may have a hard time
remembering it all.

Thank You So Much Party People!
King Me is taking this week off. But, it's a perfect opportunity to
thank all of you for the great shows we had last week.
The Pittsburg show could not have been more fun. It was great to
see all 800 of our friends in Gorilla country and help them celebrate
St. Patrick's Day. I'm pretty certain that St. Patrick's Day is the
day we commemorate St. Patrick driving all the snakes away from
the beer truck. I wish he'd have chased me away.
Plus, we have finally broken our Tulsa curse with our very fun show
at The Slow Duck. We had a great time and look forward to our
next show there.
We hope to get back to Pittsburg before the end of the year and
will be back at The Slow Duck on the 28th of April.
Drink lots of Budweiser. Wear something sexy.
We'll see you next week.

People come from all over for this party. What you can expect if
you make the drive is great beer specials, live music from some of
the best bands in the region, King Me headlining the show that
night, and a great time that will have you looking forward to next
year's party. This is an enormous event and thousands are
expected to attend. Make the drive and you won't be dissapointed.
